GLOBAL KITCHEN DESIGN COMPETITION
1st Place worldwide
For more than 80 years now, LEICHT has been causing a stir with premium kitchens. The expert interaction of all components and the brilliant combination of material, colour, architecture and light make kitchens come to life. We have always created fitted kitchens with design- and function-oriented product innovations in our very own Interior-Design-Studio. We develop exclusive kitchens oriented to the market and to our customers’ desires. Kitchen lovers can surpass themselves with LEICHT kitchens as there are no limits to individual kitchen planning. Whatever design elements customers ultimately end up choosing, a LEICHT kitchen is always the focus of domestic life, a place where family members converge and guests feel comfortable. With our innovative planning components and flexible modules, kitchens can be developed to suit your own personal vision.
Truly good design and good taste are always current, always relevant. Quiet, muted colours determine the image of the modern LEICHT kitchen. The setup gains expression and life through an ingenious combination of colours, materials and a sophisticated surface feel. Authenticity and a sense of the natural are important aspects of modern kitchen architecture, as conceived by the House of LEICHT.
Authorised LEICHT kitchen dealers transform this ethos into individual plans to suit the requirements of the customer.
BONDI-E | XYLO. Kitchen in a new dimension
A calm kitchen architecture open to the living area as well as perfect functional details – these are the characteristics of a LEICHT kitchen. A homely atmosphere is the result of an interchange with open spaces and the brilliant combination of materials: elegant, matt lacquered surfaces contrast with finely structured genuine wood.
BONDI | CLASSIC-FS. Timelessly elegant black and white
SYNTHIA-C | CERES-C. Playing with colour and Material.
PLAYING WITH COLOUR AND MATERIAL
Materials and colours accentuate the room architecture. The particularly natural-looking antique oak decor with visible knots, cracks and tangible grain brings to life the handle-less tall unit run. The island block, the transition to the living area, is the perfect contrast in its two colours.
NATURAL IS ALWAYS SIMPLE
It dispenses with the superfluous, in keeping with the LEICHT principle. Timeless country kitchens, emotionalised with traditional elements, yet based on the principle of modern kitchen planning.
The beauty, the worthwhile and the valuable from a past age live on and are carried over to today, newly interpreted. Against this background LEICHT has designed the Collection “Traditional Style”.
It represents a timeless, classic taste and at the same time meets the highest demands in technology and function.
CALVOS-FS. Timeless forms.
Archiproducts Design Awards 2017: the Winners-Kitchen
It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the winners of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2017. Even for its second edition, the prize gathered widespread consensus: over 600 products nominated by 300 brands with headquarters in 15 different countries.
After days of research, qualitative evaluations and analysis, the international jury – made of 40 among the most influential architectural firms from all over the world – has chosen the winners of the ADA 2017.
The winners of the category Kitchen are tw the Japanese brand Sanwa, which had been awarded with a special mention in 2016 thanks to the multiawarded Ceragino and that this year has won with PATTINA; and the FORM 45 kitchen designed by Multiform according to a project by Henrik Witt: classic lines, high-quality finishing and materials.

- The future city is flexible. Have you ever dreamed of sleeping suspended high in the air? How would it feel to sleep inside a vertical hanging garden? What if your room was made of stairs? Would you dare to sleep in a room that was a billboard? Or inside a shimmering grotto? What is your dream room? “Based on the hypothesis that the maximum density could be equal to the maximum of desires, this research conducted by the Why Factory explores the potentials of negotiation in dense context,” says Winy Maas. “Through gaming and other tools, Wego explores participatory design processes to model the competing desires and egos of each resident in the fairest possible way.””The rooms of the (W) EGO hotel of DDW ambassador Winy Maas rearrange themselves based on the number of visitors and their needs. The project is an excellent example of flexible design, and therefore fits perfectly with the DDW theme STRETCH!” Martijn Paulen, director of Dutch Design Foundation (organizer Dutch Design Week).
